Lesia Kohut, Owner & Executive Pastry Chef –

Before founding LPK’s Culinary Groove in 1998, Lesia Kohut worked as pastry chef and cake designer at several well-known Toronto restaurants and bakeries including Cantine, Flo’s Diner, Byzantium and All the Best Fine Foods.

Her culinary education has included programs at McCall’s School of Cake Decorating, George Brown College, the Lindt Pastry Exchange, Ewald Notter’s School of Confectionery Arts (Maryland) and the Culinary Institute of America (New York). She has taught at Bonnie Gordon’s School of Cake Decorating & Design, and has appeared at The One of a Kind Craft Show for various pastry demonstrations and at Brides on Bloor 2006 as a guest speaker on “Designing Fantasy Wedding Cakes.”

With the launch of LPK’s new organic pastry and chocolate shop, Lesia is delighted that LPK’s vegan and gluten-free desserts are being so well-received, and continues to focus on creating more mouthwatering organic cakes, pastries and chocolates, including vegan and gluten-free desserts that appeal to those who may otherwise forego a sweet treat. Lesia and her team are also deeply committed to living the LPK’s Mission each and every day, and are delighted that more and more people are looking at ways of reducing their environmental impact and improving their global impact, especially if it’s through dessert!
